Such a beautiful day…
It’s been a while since went outside to relax. The day it snowed, we went outside to play in the snow, but it was hardly relaxing. We’re Californians, and in a way, we’re a lot like Superman – we need sunlight for energy. It’s been gloomy and cold the past few months. Trees are bare, the sky is grey, and everyone stays indoors. I love the cold and the snow, but I love the sun and 72 degrees a lot more. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with how things just look so sad during the winter, but during the Spring and Summer, everything is alive.
Sunday was such a beautiful day that we had to go out and enjoy it. It was warm enough that we could finally turn off the heater and open the windows. You don’t realize how bad a house smells until you let in some fresh air, lemme tell ya. We decided it would be a good day for some grilled chicken and some lemonade, too. I fired up the grill threw some seasoned chicken and some onions halves and let them sit there for a few minutes while we made some strawberry juice. We decided the strawberrys we bought would go bad faster than the lemonade.
Izzy was also able to relax outside with us. She played for a long time, too. Just her, her mommy, and a few of her toys. I was soaking in the sun and breathing the fresh air. Spring is upon us…
After dinner, we tried out the swing that grandpa and grandma bought Izzy and Ciri for christmas. Izzy really enjoyed it, although the she would freak out when she saw the ground move by so quickly.

When we went to sleep, the bedroom smelled soooo fresh, it was like having your lungs massaged as you fell asleep. Good times.
